eBay is one of the fastest growing opportunities on the Internet, and
it doesn't look like slowing down in the near future. Thousands of people
all over the world are making a living from home selling on eBay, and some
of those people are making a fortune. To learn much of the basic
information about buying and selling on eBay, go to the
eBay
Auction website
itself. There are online tutorials that are very informative, and they
take you through much of the material step by step.
Different people take different approaches to selling on
eBay:
Some people just love going around and sniffing out bargains at garage
sales, and re-selling those items in an eBay auction for a profit.
Others develop a niche market and purchase their niche product in bulk
from wholesalers.
Information products are convenient to sell on eBay, or in any online
capacity for that matter. The seller has an unlimited quantity for sale,
and upon receipt of payment the product can be immediately
downloaded by the purchaser. There are no shipping fees involved, and
there is immediate gratification for both purchaser and seller.
Probably the ideal method of sourcing products for sale on
eBay is drop
shipping. The eBay seller who utilises drop shippers for their product
sourcing doesn't have the problem of purchasing stock, shipping, storage,
insurance or any of these expenses that are normally associated with
selling products in large quantities.
My personal favourite is a combination of the previous two methods.
Sell through drop shippers, and re-direct your
eBay traffic to relevant
information products which you have either created yourself or that you
sell as an affiliate. An example would be someone who sells gardening
equipment on eBay, and who sells ebooks about gardening as an adjunct to
their hardware sales. To learn more about this sort of approach, I could
not recommend highly enough the ebook "The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay" by Jim Cockrum.
