Online Joint Ventures enable a marketer to take advantage of the customer base
of another marketer. Just consider for a moment the prospect of having
your product advertised by a successful online entrepreneur to their list
of customers which numbers in the multiple thousands: and consider also
the fact that this list is highly targeted towards your product. This is
the joint venture scenario. The benefits are obvious. It is just a matter
of going through the process in the correct manner.
The customers on the list know and trust the entrepreneur, and you will
be the beneficiary of this trust!
There are a number of ways of becoming involved in joint venture
arrangements:
- One way is to arrange to advertise your product in other people's
ezines. These ezines need to be targeted to the type of customer who
will be interested in your specific offer. You can afford to offer the
ezine owner a generous commission, because you are not only selling your
product to an entirely new audience, but you are adding names to your
own customer list. These are people who will provide repeat business for
you. Do not be afraid to offer a commission of 50% or more.
- On the other hand, you can promote someone else's products in your
own ezine, or you can link to their product from your website. This way,
you will be the one in receipt of commissions on someone
else's products.
- When considering joint ventures, it pays to think creatively. You
can be, in effect, a broker for joint ventures between other parties.
You need to find a good product that you are confident will be a
successful candidate for this procedure. You then contact the publishers
of appropriate ezines with good customer bases, and check whether or not
they would be interested in joint ventures. If so, arrange the venture
so that all three parties (including you) are happy with the sharing of
the profits.
- If you have an ebook for sale on a given subject, do some research
into your competition. If you find that there is someone else selling an
ebook on the same or similar subject, instead of considering them to be
a commercial enemy, think of them as a source of potential revenue. You
probably know from your own experience that if people are passionate
about a subject, they rarely stop at one purchase about that subject.
Come to a mutually beneficial arrangement with your new joint venture
partner (e.g. by exchanging affiliate links, etc.).
The benefits of joint venturing are numerous, not the least of which is
the fact that you can be making profits in a very short time indeed.
